Dushanbe, 17 August. (NIAT «Khovar», Ludmila Dubinina). - 15-16 August in the Dushanbe city park, named Friendship of people was  «Holiday honey-2009». More than 50 regional, district farm-gatherers and producers of sweet products, took part in the festival, which takes place after «harvest» days in August. It was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the executive body of state power in Dushanbe and under the patronage of the Government of the Republic. The main purpose of the activities - the development and promotion the one of the important agricultural sector - beekeeping.
      In Tajikistan «Holiday Honey» started from 2005.
In «honey» tents on the central alley of the park beekeepers offers a great variety of sweet delicacies, and this herbal pharmacy: honey, honeycomb, propolis, pollen and ambrosia.
    Active participation in the Fair took beekeepers, both public and farm Sogd, Khatlon region, GBAO districts of republican subordination. They represented more than 18 species and varieties of mountain-flower, meadow flower honey and cotton. Quality and production technology products assessed competent commission, comprising representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, «Tajikstandart», public service for veterinary surveillance and other specialists.
      The main criteria on which the estimated honey - this is an attractive appearance of the produce, plus the aroma, taste and consistency of honey, as well as sweetness and acidity.
